Yamaha FJX730SC And FJX720SC Jumbo Model Guitars Go Big
For today's society of jumbo-sized people and super-sized meals, Yamaha has released the FJX730SC ($899.99 MSRP) and FJX720SC ($789.99 MSRP) acoustic-electric medium jumbo body guitars. The FJ Jumbos complement the classic FG acoustic guitar introduced in the 1960s with the Red Label.
Both models come with Yamaha's Acoustic Resonance Transducer (A.R.T.) acoustic-electric pickup system and the piezo-based System55T pickup. On the surface, the guitars feature solid Sitka Spruce tops. The 730 model includes a high-grade Rosewood back and sides, while the 720 features a mahogany back and sides.
The 730's one-way A.R.T. preamp system features two proprietary transducer contact pickups placed underneath the bridge, which minimize feedback and maximize the acoustic guitar's natural sound. The system also comes with a three-band EQ, adjustable midrange control, and onboard tuner. The 720, on the other hand, does not offer the preamp system.
