Yamaha FJX730SC and FJX720SC: New Jumbo-Sized High-Quality At Budget Prices
The FG acoustic guitar was one of the best-selling guitars of its time, taking Yamaha from Woodstock into the woodshed. Millions of guitarists worldwide have had their first-time experiences with the FG including notable artists such as Liz Phair and Dave Navarro. As a result of a long line of requests (badgering?) by fans, Yamaha has decided to release Jumbo Taking the FG line into the spotlight once more, in jumbo proportions, the Yamaha FJX730SC and FJX720SC, two new acoustic medium jumbo models, make their way into Summer NAMM 2009.
The FJX730SC and FJX720SC guitars are made under strict standards that have made Yamaha's products known worldwide, using the finest hand-selected and naturally-dried Sitka Spruce for their soundboards. The FJ730SC sports a high-grade rosewood back and sides, and the FJ720SC's back and sides are made from mahogany. Bearing that additional amplification option, the FJX730SC also has the critically acclaimed A.R.T. (Acoustic Resonance Transducer) preamp system installed, which features two proprietary transducer contact bridge pickups, three-band EQ, adjustable mid-range control, and onboard tuner. The A.R.T. also minimizes feedback and emphasizes the guitar's natural sound.
Going hand in hand with Yamaha's 40th year of selling top-quality acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars, the Yamaha FJX730SC and FJX720SC are bound to make that long-awaited impact. The FJX730SC lists for 899.99 USD (MSRP), and the FJX720SC carries a price tag of 789.99 USD (MSRP). Both guitars are expected to ship by August 2009.
