Yamaha Pocketrak CX Now Shipping: In This Guy's Pocket!
The Yamaha Pocketrak is the only portable digital recorder with the balls to put "pocket" right their in its name. You know why? Unlike those OTHER recorders, the Pocketrak actually fits in your pocket. Which makes you have to wonder: just how portable ARE those other "portable" recorders?
If your recorder is any larger than a cell phone from 1998, it's not as portable as the Yamaha Pocketrak CX. If your recorder is more literally massive than 92 grams, then it's not as portable as the Yamaha Pocketrak CX. If your recorder doesn't provide at least 20 hours of continuous linear PCM recording on a single charge, then your recorder is tethered to the power grid, baby, and it's not as portable as the (you guessed it) Yamaha Pocketrak CX.
Not only is the Pocketrak itself super portable, even the media it records onto is smaller than most. MicroSD cards can hold up to 4GB of data (a 2GB card is included, but are definitely as easy to lose as non-tinted contact lenses, if not more so.
In addition to its unassailable diminution, the Pocketrak sports detailed, electret microphones, built-in and oriented in a 90° X-Y fashion for focused, yet spacial stereo recording. The Pcoketrak CX connects to your computer via USB, which also charges the "environmentally-friendly" Enloop battery. Did we mention it ships with Steinberg Cubase AI4? Well we should have, because this is one character you can definitely judge by the company it keeps.
The plentiful features plus diminutive size add up to make the Yamaha Pocketrak CX a truly Prince-ly portable digital recorder.
