Yamaha YAS-23: Stan Satin's Student Series Saxophone Still Sounds Surprisigly Superb

January 09, 2008
Yamaha YAS-23

Stan Satin, the saxophone player and lead singer of Atlanta's VieTNam, plays a Yamaha YAS-23 saxophone on stage. It's a student edition saxophone that Stan started playing in lieu of several vintage saxophones he has. Conspicuously, the YAS-23 was the sax that Stan's son was using before Stan acquired it around the time that his son lost interest.

Stan also shows us what he uses to mic his sax live and talks about some of the latest saxophone technology that he has his eyes on.

Visit Yamaha's official website or VieTNam's official MySpace page for more information.
