Owen, a pretty nice demo -- would be really helpful IF you had angled the camera so it actually picked up the readout on the front panel of the R-16. As it is, the camera is angled too far up, it cannot see any of the readout save for the bottom-most level LEDs, so a lot of what you are saying has no real visual.

Can you actually record all 8 tracks simultaneously through the USB to the DAW? I thought only two tracks were possible through the USB?

one R16 can record 8 track simultaneously to a computer. Two R16's connected can record 16 tracks. Is there a difference when recording to SD card or to USB -> Computer? In other words has someone tested to record 16 channels to a computer using two R16's?
